Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

8 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1Original post

Found an old post: https://r.tapatalk.com/shareLink?ur...anet-9.com/showthread.php?t=157409&share_tid=157409&share_fid=626&share_type=t ...but looking for more recent examples and experiences where mods were done to factory bumper covers. My objectives are cooling and looks. Anyone engineered vents to points A, B, or C in attached pic? Sent from my VS995 using Tapatalk

POST 2Original post

I would venture to say that it would change the driving characteristics of the car! Porsche engineers have done extensive experimentation with downforce/aerodynamics and if they are not present in the car then they are most definitely not needed or more importantly could handicap how it drives.

POST 3Original post

Point noted, but some track guys vent aft (see below) so still looking for examples and experiences. Sent from my VS995 using Tapatalk

POST 5Original post

joshuaj that looks utterly incredible. Do you have an album somewhere of your ride? a. Did you remove the rear bar? b. What did you use to cut away the cover? c. Mesh material? d. Mesh fasteners? e. Did you have to cut back the aluminum heatshielding? f. Any negatives so far? Again, baller *** ride. Thanks for sharing. Sent from my VS995 using Tapatalk

POST 6Original post

Well, this might improve cooling. But it might also increase rear aero lift! If you are tracking the car and heat is an issue you might look into better or bigger oil cooler. As for looks, It's butt ugly (pun intended). BTW if you put a vent in location A it will vent your trunk, lol.

POST 7Original post

Another option would be to get a GT-3 style rear bumper cover which has venting through the rear wheel arches. Like this:
