POST 1Original post

Agate grey, black wheels, red belts and silver stitching (thought red was too much). I stuck with the standard brushed aluminium inlays, but beginning to think I should have gone for carbon. Also gone for LWB and leather. Was very nearly tempted by Mexico blue though. Edited by n17ves on Monday 27th July 09:19

POST 2 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

There's already an excellent GT4 colours thread started by Phooey, but I want to know what buyers have actually chosen? So please only submit if you're in that position. My OPC wants my choice today after being advised I had been allocated a car last Thursday - I'm feeling under pressure!! This would have been easy, Viper Green was always my choice. Unfortunately it seems that option was removed the day before my allocation was confirmed! What I'd like in your response is: 1.Body colour (white, black, guards red, racing yellow, jet black, carrara white....etc) 2.Wheel colour 3.Interior trim (brushed aluminium, painted, leather, carbon...etc) 4.Stitching 5.Belts Leather and LWB's are a given on my car. I'm currently white or black (metallic or solid to be decided), black or platinum wheels (to be decided), with carbon or painted trim, silver belts, platinum stitching. Very undecided and could just as easily go racing yellow or guards red with the matching interiors!! For those in a similar predicament - good luck! Edited by m33ufo on Monday 27th July 09:28

Gt silver Black wheels LWB, full leather, red stiching, red belts & carbon. Though I'm thinking of reverting back to guards with platinum wheels & silver stitching, there's a damn good family holiday with the change!

POST 11Original post

Sapphire Blue LWB with CS Leather Platinum Stitching Standard wheels Black wing support..

POST 12Original post

Interesting how many are going Guards with platinum not red stitching....although at £800 for red that is a rip off same as GT3 especially considering red is the same price as platinum or yellow stitching on the Spyder. Not many going black either probably because the shape is lost...won t date though. Most likely going Sapphire despite non GT colour but suits platinum stitching red belts with red calipers. The brushed aluminium in the GT3 looks poor imho so having carbon interior which compliments smooth leather steering wheel...

QUESTION: do the door pulls form part of the belt option or the stitching option? I'd actually like silver/grey belts but won't bother if it means I'll still have black door pulls.

m33ufo said: QUESTION: do the door pulls form part of the belt option or the stitching option? I'd actually like silver/grey belts but won't bother if it means I'll still have black door pulls. Stitching option according to the configurator when I last looked....its annoying as I wanted red to match the belts, but didn't want the stitching option!

POST 29 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

That's a shame. I had silver belts and door pulls on a 987 Spyder which looked really good ( I thought!). Ok...this is me: 1. Carrara White (black wing supports) 2. Satin Black wheels (red calipers) 3. Carbon trim (dash / doors / console) 4. Platinum stitching 5. Black belts I've asked my dealer to confirm that custom colour is a definite NO. If there's any hope of a change I'll be going Viper Green with Satin Black wheels Thanks for the input.

Very interesting to hear about these extra allocations being made available and that's just the ones reported on here... I wonder what the UK total is being pushed up too?

POST 61Original post

I don't believe it's extra allocation, it's more shuffling of allocation between OPCs, and think one person said he'd picked up a cancelled slot.

It had been removed from the online configurator last week but when I gave my spec to my dealer on Tuesday his system allowed it - subject to delay (which I was happy with). We both signed off on the order. It was subsequently cancelled this morning. No real explanation. I might just substitute the CS pack for the PTS option and go with Carrara.

POST 78Original post

Yes the blighters Would appears that anyone who has submitted a CTS sample in the last 2 weeks will get it rejected when the factory process it. Demand has been high and it pushes the builds out past the allocated end date for builds (so I am told). I am thankful I didn't dither and got mine in the morning it went live. Even then I was old that I couldn't have CTS, LWB and CS on same order but it was overruled and allowed (that was about a month ago). Shocking how Porsche can have options and keep changing their mind, will be my first Porsche let alone new one and the buying experience is 'interesting'. I would say it heightens the anticipation ..... but it doesn't it's mildly annoying!! Hey ho what ever colour you get it will be an awesome car, look great and worth the wait

Gt silver (Porsche Carrera GT) is possibly my fav Porsche colour of all time. It's superb in the flesh, so different to Rhodium. I think that and platinum wheels would look gorgeous. Enjoy chaps

My spec is now in: 1.White. 2.Satin Black wheels. 3.Painted interior dash and console trim etc (white). 4.Platinum stitching. 5.Black belts. Options include: Satin Black wheels. Leather interior with platinum stitching. PDLS. 64Litre tank. Cruise. Light design package. Full bucket seats. Two-zone climate control. Smoking package. Footwell storage net. Interior package painted. Centre console trim painted. Steering column in leather. Inner door sills in leather. Sun visors in Alcantara. Mobile phone prep. Decided against PCM. It would have been purely for someone else's enjoyment.

Saw my first GT4 at OPC this morning. It was a CS pack car with Sport Chrono. I'd have preferred to see the leather
