Does anyone know if there is a US distributor for
Zunsport
grills? There are two listed on the
Zunsport
UK website; one confirmed it does not carry
Zunsport
and the second hasn't responded. Interested in a front lower grill set for 987
Boxster base
but hoping het get it without incurring international shipping cost or delays.
Amazon handles
Zunsport
if memory serves. I ordered my side intake grilles for my
2016 Cayman
and recall seeing 987 grilles on there at the time.
Thanks... I looked on Amazon yesterday and found a wide variety of Porsche stuff from
Zunsport
but no front grills for my 987 Base
Boxster
. I'll look again. Maybe I missed it.
Today Amazon did have a set listed to fit my car. They are directly from
Zunsport
, about $40 more than the UK dollar price, take about 30 days for "free" shipping (not eligible for Amazon Prime) but I at least got them ordered.
I ordered my grills directly from
Zunsport
site and had no issues. Shipping was quick (less than 7 days) and zero problems. Make sure you change the currency to US on the home page.
BTW, I used coupon code
FB091516 for an addition 15% off.
Price included shipping.
I agree with jimc12. I also ordered my grills directly from
Zunsport
in UK, used the 15% coupon code and received the grills in less than 7 days. No problems.
I have done it both ways. When they have them in stock in Amazon and the shipping time is acceptable, I go that route. I have also done direct with no issues.
Zunsport
is great from my experience. 3 different
Caymans
outfitted through them.
I've ordered direct 3 times. Each time they beat the estimated delivery time. My first order was the left/right radiator grilles - I ended up losing one of the grilles while driving (probably due to my poor installation) and they sent me a new one at no charge, not even shipping expense! I have those two grilles, then ordered the side grilles, and lastly the (purely cosmetic) center front grille (I have an S).
Dobbler, could you give me some insight as to how you mounted the middle grill. I could not get it to mount flush with the bumper.
Zunsport
had told me the two drilled holes would be in the black plastic insert only, not the bumper. I drilled the holes as far to the edge of the insert as I could and the grill was still not flush.
I gave up as I did not want to drill the bumper multiple times to get a proper mount.
Pictures would be great if possible.
Thanks, Dean
Did you drill/align the holes using the supplied template? You should be able to insert the pin in one end and flex the grill to insert the other end.
Yes I did. I could get both pins inserted but the centre of the grill stuck out toward the front of the car too much
If the holes are aligned correctly it sounds like the pins are not fully seated in the holes.
