Not a fan of the look of the OEM tips so going to change them when I change the mufflers and trying to decide if I should go with X-pipe style tips or just new T-pipe tip setup.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1Original post

Looking at purchasing the Tubi exhaust system for my 987 and find it strange Tubi doesn’t make x pipes or tips for it? Not a fan of the look of the OEM tips so going to change them when I change the mufflers and trying to decide if I should go with X-pipe style tips or just new T-pipe tip setup. Would like to hear from other 987 Tubi exhaust owners what they are using and if they are happy with their setup. I’ve read that some people believe the T-Pipe layout reduces drone but then many others say X-pipe is clearly the better design?

Hello Centralcall, May I suggest the DREAM2 to go with your Tubi exhaust. Mellow tone, slight increase in power and gas mileage. Please visit our website for additional information: BCVelocityexhaust We are located in Pasadena, CA

DREAM2 is nice and as I understand it, the "original" x-pipe, Fabspeed also make x-pipe exhaust tips as do Soul Performance. I've got a Soul Performance x-pipe set in 3.5" slant cut, Satin Silver Finish making it's way to me as I write this. I went with Soul Performance because of the range of different tip options available. They're also cheaper than Fabspeed's.
