Read evidence and context
Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

In the alternative, can anyone recommend a dealer that might be willing to give me a four figure discount on the order of a new 2003 with a $88k MSRP?
Leading evidence: 'Recommend dealer' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Recommend dealer' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.
Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

After recently selling my beloved 97 993 Turbo, I have now determined that it is time to dive into a 996 (finally sadly determined that the 993 isn't coming back into production!).
I'm presently looking for a well-optioned (pre-owned or new 996 C4s in artic silver or seal gray (maybe with sport exhaust, center tunnel painted, upgraded bose, cd changer, some carbon fiber or small aluminum package, alum. gauges, etc.). Does anyone know of any available cars out there for immediate purchase?
In the alternative, can anyone recommend a dealer that might be willing to give me a four figure discount on the order of a new 2003 with a $88k MSRP? Would love to find a dealer in SoCal willing to play ball, but none out here are hungry enough IMHO. Thanks!
There's a member from Rennlist, Jim Sloves, he wanted to sell his beatiful grey C4S. Well 1,2 months ago(?).. Maybe that one is gone..
Perhaps in the archives...
good luck! <img src="graemlins/drink.gif" border="0" alt="[cherrsagai]" />

I live in GA where Jim Ellis (monopoly for GA) has just built a brand dealership and isn't selling any cars... They have a 15 car showroom and I did see a car like you were looking for yesterday. I have bought 4 cars from them in the last 5 years and so I know the Porsche sales mgr reasonably well. He said he was starting to discount heavily to get the cars moving. Call Gregg at [phone removed] if you're interested

There's an Artic Silver/Black '02 at Partown Porsche/Audi in St. Louis that can be had for around $73 I beleive. At least that's what one of the sales guys said Sat. while attending a detailing clinic there. It's got 9K miles on it, but not sure about the options.
