Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Whilst you're here as well, my friends drew a blank with their snap-on gear when it came to changing the default setting on the auto start-stop, any chance of the details of your place, I may take a road trip!

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I'm trying to retrofit the electrically deployable towbar to my 958 and falling at the final hurdle. I need the small wiring loom that runs between the towbar deployment switch and the towing control module - do we have any suitably equipped owners on here who could possibly take a look at theirs and note down the part number on the loom please?

POST 2Original post

Sure, where's the towbar control module? Behind the RHS panel where the switch is or somewhere else?

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

catfood12 said: Sure, where's the towbar control module? Behind the RHS panel where the switch is or somewhere else? Indeed, it's behind that panel yes. I can't find the loom on any of the parts manuals so I fear it might not be available separately. If it has no part number sticker can I ask you to take some pics of the connector on the back of the switch so that I can see what colour wire goes to which terminal as I'll have to make my own loom. Luckily I already have the connector on the actual module so that end is sorted if I do have to DIY. Thanks for doing this, much appreciated.
