Got my Techart steering wheel yesterday. Posted a couple of pix (Member Gallery) pre-installation to show that it is a remanufacturered OEM wheel. Will post a picture after install later this week.
According to the dealer here, you can re-use the air bag, as long as the TechArt wheel is the same style as your Porsche Wheel. There is no hub adapter, as basically it is the same as the P wheel, other than the leather & rim thickness.
Wheel is $2550 plus $600 "core exchange" which is $3150 until you send back the OEM wheel. I bought mine from CEC the US Techart distributor and I believe a sponsor of ours. Service was excellent and prompt w/ good communication. As you can see in the photo they deleted the Techart logo. I requested black stitching since my experience with light color stitching on steering wheels is that it gets dirty quickly unless one is prepared to wear gloves all the time.
Man! I really like this steering wheel.
DaveC, what is the diameter and how thick is the steering wheel? Could you please measure it for us? One last thing, who did you deal with over at CEC?
Thanks in advance.

I've posted a couple of photos in my gallery of the wheel installed in my car. Note the OEM Porsche airbag cover and crest. The photos (or my photography) don't really do justice to the carbon fiber. The wheel feels very good in the hands and to some extent improves the transmission of the steering feedback to the hands. The price was exorbitant no doubt, but based on my experience with car mods in general, I think this was worth the dough.
that is a badass looking steering wheel. I am planning on getting one too. Still cant decide on springs or coilovers right now. I am also having techart/CEC do the red interior seats.
