Also I swapped the passenger and drivers seat backs.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

The right hand side bolster on the drivers seat of my 996 is showing signs of wear with some veins starting to develop in the leather.
I would appreciate advice on how best to treat this; have heard of some products mentioned in other threads but I an not sure exactly what I would need to order to do it myself. It's a standard black 996 interior with yellow stitching to match the belts.
Alternatively, is there anyone in the Thames Valley that I could get to do it for me ?
Thanks.....
Peter Tognola at Datchet does re-Connolising of leather, but you might want to try Dynamix Dyes first. I haven't used it myself, but hear lots of good comments about it, and how easy it is to use.
+1 for Dynamix dyes. My seat bolster and handbrake grip were so badly worn that I thought of getting them re-covered but decided to try re-dyeing it first. The colour match was spot on, it wasn't difficult to do but you must follow the instructions to a t and it was cheap. 3 years later and and it still looks good. PM me your email address and I will send you a couple of photos of the result 3 years later of daily use.
Hi
On my 993 I used the scuffmaster dye kit. You have to be quick wiping it off though. Also I swapped the passenger and drivers seat backs. I do not know if you can do that on the 996 seats though.
Berni
Based on the good feedback I have bought Dynamix as well.
Havent managed to apply it yet and I have started wondering how to apply it correctly.
My car interior (996 with Graphite Grey) seems to be two-toned - lighter colour on seats but darker on doors and dashboard leather. Maybe just dirty leather :dont know:
Anybody know which colour is what? I have bought 996 lighter colour from Dynamix for the seats. Is the dash board just the Graphite grey colour? I thought that would be 993 Graphite Grey leather?
Many thanks
