Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

When you do break a wheel, you'll feel better afterward if it costs $300 to replace instead of $800.

then I could use the turbo look ones on it now for track tires.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Don't use those for track wheels. I've seen too many replicas fail at the track. For the street, no problem - but they just can't handle the constant high-g loading and abuse they'll get from track use.
Pm returned....
These wheels are pretty much brand new, used for a month till I found the set of victor wheel I really wanted. Tires have one season on them front tread about 70-80% left, rear about 50%-60%.
I had 993 replicas on my 944, which I tracked and never had an issue.
I'll vouch for the weight of these wheels--they're significantly lighter than my stock 18" solid turbo twists. Also, I don't buy that anyone has seen "too many" replica wheels fail at the track.
These are going to be a great deal for someone.
will see how much... I like that style wheel and they would look good on my 928... then I could use the turbo look ones on it now for track tires. Got a little over a month to sort it out!
Shipping should be about $120.
I just had wheels shipped from TX to CA for that price.
These wheels DO look good on a 928!
Maybe post them for sale in the 928 section as well, there are always people looking for wheels.
And this seems like a great deal
In the last 15 years, I've personally seen about 4 or 5 replica wheels fail under high g-force loading. I've seen zero factory wheels fail that way. In my book, that's "too many".
The spokes fail, the outer part of the rim breaks off - best case scenario, it only bends the fender when it flies out, and the driver is able to keep the vehicle from colliding with anything. Of course, there's some bumper/underbody scraping as the car comes to rest and when it's loaded onto the flat bed. Worst case is a serious impact...
It's quite odd seeing spokes bolted to a hub with no outer part of the rim.
Having said all that, I do think replica rims are just fine for street driving - and I even have my snow tires mounted on a replica set.
Never had an issue with mine...autoX and DE with them...but i believe you, Ive also seen some very pricey HREs get destroyed on the track too...Id rather lose a 150 wheel than a 800+ wheel.
First $520 paypaled takes it...we can arrange pickup/shipping later.

I've broken a few wheels. Really good, heat-treated, made-in-England racing wheels. When you do break a wheel, you'll feel better afterward if it costs $300 to replace instead of $800.
