Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Just curious here. I have the stock P-zeros, about 4K miles. Driving yesterday in a hard downpour changing lanes at 45mph the car felt "unresponsive" for a moment. Like it was floating, and my instincts said better not move the steering wheel...Kinda hard to describe. I just wondered if this car/these tires hydroplane? Or was it just me? Thanks.

POST 2Original post

Any car riding on any tire will hydroplane on enough standing water. The wider the footprint, the worse it gets.

POST 3Original post

enough standing water... Yes, about .01 inches or so. At least here in Seattle.

POST 4Original post

The Brigestone SP02's were the best tires in this respect I ever tried. The Michelin's MXX3 (Michelin's Hi-Perf tire before the Sport Pilot's) were the worst I ever tried in terms of a same-size tire's ability to evacuate water.
