Read evidence and context

Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Planet-9: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 1 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1Original post

I'm reaching out to all you guys and gals with way more knowledge than moi. I have asked this before, but who knows, maybe this times the charm. I have a 2008 Cayman S . I am looking for the trim rings that go on the three gauge clusters of the dash. Speedometer, tachometer, gas and temp. Looking for silver. Also, that reminds me, does anyone know of a more useful replacement to fit where the redundant speedometer gauge is? Something like oil temp/pressure. Today's weather (haha). Why we need to see mph in two places beats me. Porsche engineers seem very smart so it must have been somebody else's idea. Thanks, in advance for all of you who may reply. Happy trails!

Thank you for your very prompt reply! I think you Brits have much better deals over on your side of the H2O than we do here. I can't believe the deals Mike Brewer finds on Wheeler Dealers. Those rings from Suncoast , I am told by them, will not fit. My car is a 2008/ 987.1 . Do you have a link for the gun metal grey ones? Thanks again. I appreciate the help!!
