Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1Original post

Hello, Just bought a 2006 Cayman 2.7, and while replacing the AOS and cleaning the intake tubes, I disconnected the mass and now I have a connector I can’t figure out where it goes. I looks like an injector connector with 2 wires and a metal retaining clip and seems to want to lay behind the AOS or under it. I was looking for the wiring diagram or pictures of the engine harnesses so I can locate where it goes. Had to stop working on it for over a week and should have taken notes. I appreciate quick help as I need my car tomorrow for work. Thanks.

POST 2Original post

Maybe post a picture of the connector so that someone here can help identify it. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk

POST 3Original post

Working from memory here, but the cam solenoids on the valve cover have a similar plug, and are in the same area.

POST 4Original post

You can see the solenoid here, right next to the spark plug hole.

POST 5Original post

The plug for the PSE solenoid can be found in the vicinity of the AOS, and on non-PSE cars it sits unused.

POST 6Original post

Thanks for everyone's feedback. After 2 days or research, turns out it is indeed the PSE connector that is not used on my car. All is back on and the car is working great.
