To the members of Planet 9, as the year ends I want to thank everyone. This place is great, everyone tries their best to be helpful and even though we don't know each other the site has a familial vibe. I find that to be a rare phenomenon on the internet. The nuggets of information I have learned here are valuable not only as an enthusiast but in practical application that translates to meaningful savings in cost of ownership. In a time where isolation is the new normal, it's nice to have a sanctuary you can go to whenever you want without a mask or Betadine shower after the visit. Shout out to Don too, not only a diligent "great guy" mod but a phenomenal resource, like a human PIWIS. Hope everyone stays healthy and perhaps one day we meet down the road.
What a great post,

Agreed on all fronts. I
Planet-9. Big thanks to Don — and all of you — for making this place awesome.
Agreed...I really enjoy hanging out on P9. This forum is part of my daily routine as crazy as that sounds! I have been part of many auto forums over the years. The best one was back around 1999 - 2009, I had an e46 and hung out at Bimmerfest. What a fantastic community that was. P9 is a close second.
Hope everyone has a happy and healthy New Year with lots of safe and trouble free motoring!!
Been an active member since just before buying my car in March. Have real enjoyed the wealth of knowledge and the camaraderie from you folks. Thanks, happy new year and keep the shiny side up!

I'm still a newbie. 10 months about?
And 10 months of a Porsche in the garage.
But the combination has proved to be nothing short of fantastic. I don't know why I always felt it was out of reach.
Anyways, I too am grateful for the community here. It's a big part of my Porsche addiction now.
Happy New Year fellas.
It’s been another interesting year indeed.. it’s cold here so no Porsche fun at all… the car is also basically finished etc etc… but yes this place is a fun outlet for knowledge.
Someone posted this yesterday and if you haven’t seen it, don’t spit up your coffee ☕
I feel for you folks that must take a winter break from your beloved Porsching. While I must suffer the brutal summer for the blessing of top-down Flat6 winters, this is when it's payback time.
Today is already calling me to cruise down to the seawall for an outdoor lunch of Cajun oysters. (spicy fried delight)
I'll stop now before it just becomes cruel.
The roads here are awful… melted snow and salt/sand mixture… my garage is heated and the floor has to sprayed out almost daily
great huh?
You should really consider letting me babysit that Cayman until the Spring thaw.
I would only be using it in order to keep it exercised and nimble.
And I’m okay with that!! But I won’t be able to post on the “what did you do to your cayman” thread for months!!! 😂
I guess I'm lucky in that I live in an area that has four seasons, but only January and February are too cold, and we only get a few not too heavy snow falls a year. This year is supposed to be unusually low also. I have no plans to put my baby up for the winter - I won't drive it in snow or any kind of inclement weather of course, but I'll get her out when the roads are clear for sure! Tomorrow I'm taking her to a friend's house an she'll get her first oil change since I bought her. And I'll whip up some awesome pot roast and ring in the New Year with some cheers!
Here in MN it snowed for the first time (snow that stays) this past Monday… generally we get the snow half dec through March first… so usually 2 normal months of winter… it will get super cold tho and that’s the worst of it… 10 days ago it was 70 and thunderstorms
No Porsche’s after Halloween… then usually late March to early April
