Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

the normal seats look like the classic ones they used to have in old porsche's('50s) before they used head rests.

Suggestion
Also its not that the sport seats have less “lumbar support”, its that the adaptive seats have bladders that adjust the lumbar support and side bolstering.

These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I also went for the regular seats. When I sat in the sport seats I felt very confined and I'm only 5'7'. Just turning maybe 45 degrees felt confined. I know a lot of the members liked the sport seats better and so did I till I spent some time in my friend Boxster S with the sport seats. It was still a tough call

I ordered the sport seats, non-adaptive. They are so much tighter to sit in, not that they std seats are bad. I like more lateral support. I went non-adaptive for two reasons. I will be primary and almost exclusive driver and I wanted other goodies for the $.
Ordered sport seats, non-adaptive as well. I'm 5'9/230 ( i work out/fckeditor/editor/images/smiley/MWPX/wink_smile.gif ). Anyway, I do have broad shoulders from working out and swimming and the sport seats felt great to me. Liked they hugged me. Some people might not like that feeling. They did NOT feel like they were poking me in the back. Once I add a 5-point harness, I think I'll be quite happy on the track.
p.s. I sat in these different seats in a Boxter, but they are supposed to be the same across the entire line.

I opted for the sport seats as well. Couldn't justify the $$$ for the adaptive though. Tried out reg/sport seats in a Boxster and loved the way the sport seats cradled the body.
the normal seats look like the classic ones they used to have in old porsche's('50s) before they used head rests. I think they look cool but i think i will opt for the sports seats- i think they are a bargain compared to aftermarket and they have the original look.
I went full boat with the seats. Full Leather, Heated Adaptive Sport Seats, with Guards Red Belts. Adaptive Sport Seats are just that, you can pull them in for a firm hold, or free them up for a little a room. I didn’t want to be in mode of should / could had.

If I’m not mistaken the colored belts were available with Dec. builds, but it may have been January builds as I have. I can hardly wait to try them on.

I ordered regular sport seats. Didn't want the extra weightof the additional motorsin the adaptive sport seat. I wanted to keep the weight of my car as low as possible.
speedgod - By design the belts hold your body while the calipers hold the rotors. Thanks.

At first I wanted them - then I decided I didn't want something I couldn't actually try and some people have said they are tighter on the shoulders. And I do think the regular seats are comfortable.
But then Beez said it was worth it and that blasted RussK (joking) posted pictures and said he would drop those stupid self-dimming mirrors and Climate Control just for the sport seats - and mpollard said the same thing (actually instigated it all) so now I have ordered them.
But if I don't like them I'm flying to Palo Alto, then Hawaii, then Europe to kick some butt. Or if I love it I owe you all several beers.
I'm joking of course, and thanks all for depleting my pocket book a bit more...
i wish they offered the color in its metal finish with a clearcoat. kind of like a delorean but with a clearcoat.
no manufacturer does that- i think its a great money and weight saving idea. The same reason why Mercedes race cars (The sliber pfeil) was silver and germany adopted silver as their color. Weight savings.
I ordered the regular sport seats on my Cayman. My current car (2004 M3) has the close equivalent of Adaptive Sport Seats, and although they're very nice, I find I don't use them enough to justify the $3000 that Porsche wants to charge us. I do, however, like the feel of the sport seat vs. the standard seat enough to pay for that option. Always thought the non-sport seats in my Boxster were a bit bland.
I ordred the non adaptive sports seats. They cost approx £450/500 extra ,they would have been less with full leather. My dealer advised me NOT to have them ,he said they are not good at resale as bigger people cannot fit into them.He also said that as they are so much tighter they make you sweat in summer.
