I just renewed my MB cover & they were still as competitive as anyone else that I checked, including Shannons and Youi.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hey there, I am waiting for a delivery of a new 911 and looking around for insurance. I have got few companies that gave me a quote (Shannons, MB , Porsche) but recently got one from https://luxurycarinsurance.com.au/ .  has anyone heard of them? Any data points? they have the best price compare to others, unlimited mileage , choice of repairer and bunch of other good stuff.  Roughly 4.5K with 4K excess. Any tips and inputs? appreciate it in advance.

POST 2Original post

Have no information about them, am interested though!

POST 3Original post

A broker like Domus etc they operate with multiple brands of underwriters getting the best deal and their commission. They are using the same insurers that you listed just buying power of a brokerage. my experirnce with brokers when it comes to a claim is they tend to either be involved (complicating the process for repairer and insured) or just have you deal directly with the claims department of the insurance company they underwrote your policy with.

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Makes sense.  Price wise , is 5K a year kinda the norm ? for a new 911

POST 5Original post

There was some good insurance research a few years ago on this forum and I took its advice and contacted MB. However, I was quoted $7k for 991 turbo! I almost fell of my seat - literally. I got another two quotes from Youi and Ryno insuance which were $3.8 and $4.5 respectively. I am unsure why MB was so high... May be they just didn't want my business?!?

POST 6Original post

I just renewed my MB cover & they were still as competitive as anyone else that I checked, including Shannons and Youi.  Just over 2K for a 992 S, mind you that’s a limited km policy, which works for me.
