Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi, The locking wheel bolt adapter for my 991.1 (not centre locks) has just broken when doing the final torque of the bolts, 160 N/m according to the manual. Are replacements available and is it a dealer only purchase? I know I can get a replacement adapter including new bolts but obviously need some way of removing the current locking bolts first. Many thanks

These guys may be able to supply a replacement, although I'm sure a Porsche dealership will be able to as well. https://www.lockingwheelnutkeys.co.uk/

Looking on the bright side the key must have been cracked for some time looking at the discolouration at the break so it was just waiting to happen. At least it broke when replacing the wheel by choice rather than trying to fix a puncture in the rain etc.

Impressed with the very quick reply from them regarding a replacement so placed an order and will update once it arrives. Thanks again for the link.
