More disappointing was the suggested repair method, which was to replace the active bracket, at an astonishingly high price.

I was somewhat skeptical about using a replacement sensor to fix the Poporacing issue, but considering that I would only lose $200, it was worth a try.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

My 718 has only run 250,000 miles, and I was very disappointed when the PADM fault appeared on the dashboard at the exit of a sharp turn. More disappointing was the suggested repair method, which was to replace the active bracket, at an astonishingly high price. I was somewhat skeptical about using a replacement sensor to fix the Poporacing issue, but considering that I would only lose $200, it was worth a try. The sensor I ordered online arrived within a week. It took me less than three hours in total (yes, I work slowly), to remove the bracket with the bracket , take off the "Do Not Remove" sensor cover with 4 safety screws, pull out the faulty sensor, insert/secure the Poporacing sensor with bolts, and put the bracket back in the car. To my surprise, the fault was cleared, and the car was back on the road, as good as new (or better, I hope, because it won't happen again). Yes, I had doubts about this little-known (at least to me) online supplier who promised to magically solve the problem, but the fast delivery, ease of operation, and the fact that the problem was really solved, all surprised me greatly. And... I have no relationship with Poporacing, except that I am a satisfied customer.

POST 2Original post

Miles not kms ?  250,000 or 25,000 ? Just 2 posts. You posted Friday indicating you might give this option a try and then you’ve already received and installed it ? Hmmm…

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Sorry, it's 25,000 miles, I pressed an extra zero
