Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

1 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I've had my 996 for a while and have never quite nailed the comfort side of things. I've got a console delete, which makes a nice difference but the fundamental issue is the seat. The standard comfort seat is way too narrow - I sit on it, not in it. I've done searches on here and elsewhere and seen retro fit of sport seats. I've tried 996/7 sports seats and there's still a bit narrow across the top. Now, the obvious answer is an OEM GT3 or aftermarket GT3 clone but we're quickly talking four figure numbers so I've been looking around. A seat adaptor by someone like Planted will allow the fitment of a broad range of aftermarket and seats from other OEMs e.g. VW, Audi etc, which could be a possibility if we can get them low enough. Has anyone ever slotted in anything other than Porsche GT3 or Design911 type seats please? Any other suggestions gratefully received.
