Search you tube for Jake Raby and Flat Six Innovations videos. He goes deep into details but iirc bore score would look slightly different. The high amount of metals might lean toward bearings but your oil consumption is a little higher. I asked about the oil because 0w40 and 5w40 are the recommended weights.

Mobil 1 5W30 is not Porsche A40 approved. I would suggest trying the 0W40 and seeing if your numbers improve.

Thanks, guys. The previous owner ran 5w30 in it for reasons I can't discern. I thought it best to stick to what was already in the pan, but I will try 0W40 and see how things work out. Appreciate your input.

I am possibly looking at the same thing. Have high oil consumption. Also get a puff of blue smoke at start up after the car has been sitting for a day or more. Told this is normal. But the high consumption is not. New to the car and as far as i know it has always had Mobil 1 5w-40w. A member of another forum as well as a very knowledgeable Porsche tech suggested Liqui Moly 5w-40W. Tech said he has seen very good results from this. Just changed the oil today and pulled a sample for Blackstone. Waiting for the kit to arrive to send it back. I too am dreading the results. Will report back on the result of changing the oil brand and weight in a week or so.
