Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Hey those of you running Dansk exhaust, can you please provide feedback on whether you find it has a droning effect in the cabin ?
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hi. I am considering an after market exhaust for my 1983 911SC. Any recommendations? Particularly, any homegrown ones. The postage from the US and Europe is out of this world. I would like a Fabspeed but most of the chats focus on Dansk. Thanks for your time. Mingo
You're best off waiting for a used one to pop up. Maybe get one for $800-$1,000.
Monty doesn't make them anymore and he was local, but from memory a new 1 in 1 out was over $2.5k.
If in no rush, as
@911
said best bet, keep an eye out for a 2nd hand one.
The custom fit: - there’s a few downsides (just my take):
1) I felt it was hard to find out what it was going to sound like, performance measures…whereas if you buy Dansk, Monty, m&k etc, there’s plenty of youtubes, forum chats that allow you to get a good feel of what sound you’re gonna get, what ur happy with…
2) the custom fit guy will likely want to keep your car for a week, whereas if you buy off the shelf, it’s a quick bolt off & on
3) Bragging rights (& potential $$ impact to you) if you ever sell I feel are a bit less as no one knows what you got…
if you’re not in Melbourne I have no idea… if you’re in Melbourne, I only know one guy but unfortunately I can’t recommend…I’d suggest call a few indy mechanics, they likely know someone…
I have a complete system for sale - tuned headers and a complete exhaust system that has not done much work. I've already reduced the price and might reduce it further for a sensible offer. See this post:
I suggest you decide if you want to have heat and how much you want to spend in total. If you decide to change your headers, the cost skyrockets. You'll also likely need to change the oil line to the old style to fit new headers.
I think 911's suggestion to buy a secondhand muffler is the sensible approach. Monty and M&K also need to be on your list. A "one in/one out" muffler is what you want.
The next step up would be to think about a set of SSI (now owned by Dansk) headers. They would need to be matched with a "two in/one (or two if you don't mind cutting your valance panel) out" muffler.
