Changed on my 991.2 ,was a great move for me given the vast majority of my driving is on the road .

Suggestion
These changes have probably compromised it’s track driving but that is of no concern to me and I doubt it would be that noticeable unless driven by an expert.

Suggestion
I'm sure they've taken a bit of immediacy and sharpness off the turn-in, but I'm not a good enough driver to tell the difference, and I'll get far more benefit from being able to use the car when it's both wet and cold.

I did so on a 991.1 GT3 and it worked very well for a road car in a variety of conditions.
Not on a 992, but my 991 GT3 now runs PS4Ss instead of Cup 2s. They're a lot less scary in the wet, as you'd expect with about double the tread depth, and feel a little more compliant. I'm sure they've taken a bit of immediacy and sharpness off the turn-in, but I'm not a good enough driver to tell the difference, and I'll get far more benefit from being able to use the car when it's both wet and cold.

I don't think N rated PS4's are available for the 992 GT3 yet
And they are never ever likely to be, maybe risk it a bit and fit Blackwall PS4S.
I fitted PS4S to my GT4 and it felt like I’d fitted winters. It really dulled the sharpness of the handling, especially turn in. I wouldn’t buy them again for this car although I like them on my other cars.
I had more confidence in the wet but it wasn’t my daily so I don’t think that benefit outweighed the negatives for me.
I actually use PS4Ss on my GT4 as winters
They do soften things off, but grip way better than Cup2s in cold and/or wet conditions. As always, you need to find the right car/engine/tyres/whatever to suit your use-type.

Me too, they are just better for any cold and wet road driving

I have fitted new PS4Ss to my new 718GT4 and already driven in torrential rain. They are infinitely safer and more confidence inspiring in wet conditions. They also heat up much quicker although I fully expect will wear much quicker on warm summer track days.

A spare set of wheels with PS Cup2's fitted is the answer ... the joy of 5 lug rather than centre lock wheels

My GT3 was delivered with Goodyear Eagle F1 Supersport R tyres last October. Since I use it as a road car I wanted tyres that were more compliant with better wet grip so after 1100 miles I sold the Goodyears and changed to Pirelli P Zeros which are NA1 rated and approved by Porsche for the 992 GT3. Now, after a year and 5600 miles later, no regrets, those tyres completely transformed the car’s ability to be driven in the wet, even torrential rain. I’ve also had the suspension settings altered by Centre Gravity which has made the car much easier to drive on the road to the point now where I’ll drive it in all conditions except snow and ice. These changes have probably compromised it’s track driving but that is of no concern to me and I doubt it would be that noticeable unless driven by an expert. If and when I sell it, those changes can be reversed or even changed to be more track focused, so not an issue for a future track driver.
If you want a more useable road biased tyre for cold and wet conditions, the only two approved by Porsche and N rated for the 992 GT3 are the P Zero and Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 3, alternatively the track biased tyre with the best wet grip rating, also approved by Porsche and N rated for the 992 GT3 is the P Zero Corsa. The PS4S is not on the approved list yet.

I think you'll find the P Zero are NA1 approved for the 992 Turbo, the GT2/3 models have never had any regular/non Cup style tyres approved for them.
I wouldn't get hung up over the N rating you could mix and match PS4S non N tyres and, for the road, not be disappointed with their performance.

I am sure that the PS4S were approved for the 991 GT3 - I had them fitted to me car by my OPC when the warranty was renewed.

Yeah I have PS4S on my 991.2 and they are N0 rated
I assumed he meant 992 but then talked about GT2 so...

I find them to be awful in the wet, definitely don’t inspire confidence for me. Might look at other brands over the winter.

TB993tt, you really should have checked the facts before making such a statement. You are partially correct in that the P Zero is approved for the 992 Turbo but it is also approved for the 992 GT3. I suggest you go to the Porsche car configurator set up a GT3 configuration, select the wheel option (there is only one) and then select the tyre symbol and you will see that there are 5 tyres that are approved for the 992 GT3 one of which is the Pirelli P Zero. In fact these are the same 5 tyre options that also show for the Turbo S on its configurator. Furthermore my OPC would never have fitted them to my GT3 if they were not approved.
I found that nobody I knew with a Porsche 911 were aware that on the Porsche new car configurator you can see which tyres can be fitted to the chosen model, even the OPC was not aware until I showed them. Unfortunately it’s not possible to specify the tyres when the car is ordered unlike Ferrari.

You are most welcome, apologies if my reply was a bit sharp.
I found that even the OPC was not aware that all the tyre options are listed on the configurators for every Porsche model.
Going back to the OPs issue of his 992 GT3 with Cup 2s in cold wet weather, swapping to the P Zeros will make a massive difference to its grip performance in wet weather with a trade off in track performance. I suspect that on track the P Zeros would heat up substantially more than the Cup 2s and so compromise it's performance but that's only my theory.
My 992 Touring came fitted with Pirelli P Zero Corsa (NO) tyres. A friend's Touring came with Cup 2's, luck of the draw I guess!

Did they show up at around the same time? Am just wondering how random they are.
My question is slightly hypothetical as I was notified that my car was complete via the app, and then informed that it's actually not quite complete, a state that it seems to be stuck in...
Picking up my Touring next week which has been delivered with Goodyear Supersport R's (anyone interested in them?). As it'll be for road use I'm going to change but interested if anyone has any experience of both the P Zero and P Zero Corsa - the spec says the latter is better rated for wet weather. The Pistonhead review was also very positive. Thanks in advance
I guess you are referring to the EU rating which seems to be as good as other EU rating stuff, ie crap....
If you check out Pirelli's own wet rating of their tyres you can see they give the Corsas 8 "bars" and the P Zero NA1 (992 fitment) the full 10 bars....

Just for information the Goodyear Supersport R is basically a rebranded Dunlop Sport Maxx Race 2. Same tread and construction.

Which in turn is basically the same in use as the P Zero Corsa.
Mine came on the Corsa which I found a bit more compliant on the road than Cup 2 but still fairly crap in the wet.
I’m now on my second set of Cup 2.
Cup 2s are just too skittish for damp/wet road use, wheelspin in second with only 470NM is ridiculous !
I've just ordered PS4S in GT3 sizes, the rears are OE marked NDO which I think is a Panamera code with EU ratings C/A and the fronts have no OE marking and EU rating D/A, cost £1215 from Camskill.
I'll report back once fitted.

I didn’t know that, but I had Dunlop sport Maxx R2 on a 991 RS, and they were utterly hopeless in the wet, even when it was warm, they didn’t inspire any confidence at all. Even straight line braking on a good quality surface, you barely needed any pedal pressure until you could feel the ABS intervening. Give me a set of pilot sport cups any day.
I really don’t get the negativity about the MPSC, it still works even in wet and cold conditions, you just need to adapt your speed, but crucially, you can always feel what the chassis is doing underneath you. You lose this with a MPS4S or Pzero.
I’ve got MPS4S on a few different cars, and whilst it’s a great tyre for medium to softly sprung car, on anything that’s stiffly damped and sprung (like a GT4 or GT3) it takes away too much front end feel for my liking. These cars were engineered around a cup (or equivalent) tyre, and in my experience, a PS4S just doesn’t suit it.
I had it explained to me more much more clearly by a Pirelli tyre engineer, who explained the difference in tyre grip and feel with a friction circle…I’ll try and find it, it was interesting to those who like these things…!

I've driven the GT3 on the new PS4Ss, as expected they are superb, massively more traction. possibly a bit more comfort, but for the road a no brainer compared to Cup 2s.

I've got MP4Ss on my 718GT4 and as you say they are superb for all round road use. They are superior to Cup 2s unless its both warm and dry. OTOH they are not suitable for track days when its warm and dry as they overheat too easily.
I also have a second set of tyres (Dunlop Race 2) to use on track days.

Agree totally, used Cup 2 on 980 and GT3's all year round unless really cold (like the recent spell) and never had an issue even in biblically wet and cold conditions. In Spain in October saw everything from 32 degrees to pouring rain and 8 degrees in the mountains, driven with a modicum of restraint they are AOK, even are pretty capable off road

Interesting that the PZero Cora is considered a benign cold/wet weather tyre for the GT3. On the Giulia QV it is considered a difficult tyre in UK conditions and many owners have swap over to PS4S or Eagle F1s after delivery.
