I have a retro fitted PCM 1 fitted to a 1998 Boxster. This was fine for a while, but recently the display has gone blank even through the radio still works - so it still functions. I have disconnected the battery, and turned it back on again - but it remains blank. The backlight is on, so I assume this is either the LCD or a display component? Has anyone had something similar and has been able to rectify it?

Thanks. That is a great option! Quick couple of questions; - what made you go for the specific "Color: 7862 256G Carplay LT" model? - the wiring photo didn't look that plug and play. Were there extra changes needed? - Did the anti tamper sensor still work okay?

I am not sure why they list a color, China, lost in translation maybe? It only comes in one color. I got the 8gb/256gb version. It wasn’t that much more and I always figure you can never have too much memory. I have a stock wiring harness, no changes were needed. I did have to modify the surround with a dremel which was easy to do. No issues with that, but I was replacing another non OEM single DIN HU. I do not think there would be a problem. After several weeks of driving with this unit, I am still very pleased with the functionality and quality of the unit.
