From what I can tell, should be a matter of tweaking the positions and making sure everything lines up properly in the pedal cluster and adjusting the floorpan.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi everyone, I’ve been a silent beneficiary of these forums for many years, and like many, I’ve spent countless nights chasing obscure parts for my 964. One search began after pulling out water-soaked foam floorboards, only to discover that nobody makes replacements for RHD Tiptronic cars. The aftermarket basically forgot RHD Tips exist! I've begged Rennline and Silverlake for years to consider making one, but it was always a dead end. So I decided to make some the easy way, in carbon fibre 😅 And since I was in that area, I replaced the splintering plywood pedal board and gave my passenger princess a matching carbon floorboard too. The result is a set of carbon floorboards and a pedal board made specifically for 964 RHD Tiptronic cars. The floorboards mount exactly like the Cup cars (on brackets and the footwell beams).  I’ve also added a snap-button point for the carpets so they don’t slide around on top. The pedal board is a direct-fit replacement for RHD Tip cars. They’re noticeably lighter than the foam/plywood originals or aluminium track mats, and the carbon weave looks better IMHO. My prototypes are finished in matte carbon, with an extra layer of matte PPF I DIY-ed for durability. Here are some pics (taken by my better half!) of the prototypes installed in my own RHD 964 WTL Cab Tip, so you can see the fitment and, more importantly, the weave. 🙂 This started purely as “just another project,” solving my soggy, splintering problem. When I was done, I realised there might be other RHD Tip owners out there who’d be interested too. Let me know what you all think! Any other RHD Tip owners keen? I’d be happy to make a couple more pieces. And if so, matte or gloss finish? Honestly, I’m just stoked to see these carbon pieces in the car after so many late nights tinkering away in my home garage in Sydney 🙂 Thanks for reading this far, and for all the knowledge I’ve absorbed from this community, it’s what made such a project possible! Cheers, Ben

POST 2Original post

Looks great Ben. I hadn't realized 964 stuff is a bit like rocking horse ..... Would it be possible, without too much fiddling, to add the extra hole for the manual cars?

hey @sus911 Thanks! Yes, i don't think it would be too hard to make some for the manual cars

POST 4Original post

May open up your potential market quite a bit.

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Yeah, I completely agree. Since I originally made these for myself, I thought I’d extend it to fellow RHD Tip owners first. 🙂 That said, if there’s enough interest, I’d be more than happy to make some for the manual crowd. From what I can tell, should be a matter of tweaking the positions and making sure everything lines up properly in the pedal cluster and adjusting the floorpan. Might need to rope in a local volunteer car to get it dialled in properly when that happens!
