Suggestion

It will be 50-75% more expensive but it is the only solution unless you want a cheaper aftermarket screen that is smaller in physical size and require the use generic universal rubbers which are too wide and look crap.

My advice is to only use a replacement Porsche supplied screen or OEM that has the fused in plastic channel that holds the outer rubber seal.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi All, My 993 Turbo has a small amount of rust in the bottom left corner of the rear screen and a small amount in the front screen scuttle corner. I will be replacing with original glass and rubbers but wanted any other thoughts from people who have done this. Furthermore if anyone has any bodyshop recommendations within Sydney to talk to, I have already started the quoting process with Atlas in Artarmon. Cheers.

POST 3Original post
