Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I'm thinking of buying a 99 C2 Cabriolet in Ocean Jade Metallic, It has done 18,000mls and has ruffled grey leather interior. I've driven it a couple of times and it is fantastic. Can anyone offer any thoughts on how much the colour should affect the price in comparison to the more usual black, blue or silver. Regards JOHN

POST 2Original post

I don't know but a buddy of mine just called me and wants to sell his 00 Cab, silver/black, HT, 18" wheels. It's a nice car with 23K on it. I think he wants in the low 60's; if you are interested let me know. Roy

POST 3Original post

I was curious, so I used Edmunds.com to compare prices based on color for '99 cabs. There was no exact match to Ocean Jade, so i picked the closest, dark green. I compared that to my car, the closest being plain silver. For dark green, there is a reduction of US$177-188 for the color. For silver, there is a premium of US$225-255. So, that makes about a US$400 difference between dark green and silver 911. Of course, that's based on THEIR American opinion. Back there in Scotland, Ocean Jade Green might be close enough to British Racing Green that every Brit/Scot now wants it. Or would a Scot hate it? You can do it yourself. Here's the site: Edmunds When you get to the Porsche '99 cab section, click on "Customized Appraisal" button, and input what you've got. Have fun!!

POST 4Original post

John, Not a colour to buy, very difficult to resell. Is the car for sale at Glenvarigill?

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Ally I think the car was originally purchased from Glenvarigill - that's where it has been serviced -but is now in Aberdeen, I think it sat for 2 years at a non Porsche dealer waiting to be sold. It's a private sale but despite the low price looks like one to stay away from. Regards JOHN
