Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Suggestion · Original poster

I do close it when the wind noise exceeds the ability to hear the exhaust note and when using air con, which in the UK is not very often at all.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

11 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • PistonHeads: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

and isn't it weird that Porsche didn't solve the problem themselves?

POST 2Original post

A lot of cars do it; some are unbearable with anything other than the window open a crack. Nice to know someone has come up with a solution!

POST 3Original post

I assume Porsche do not assume that this infringes their warranty?

That's not a solution!! I have driven with drivers window open an inch for the last 30 years. I am very much looking forward to receiving the "Solution" through the post.

I understand in a GT3 you might want to hear the engine / exhaust noise, but doesn't your approach a) just provide significant wind noise and b) cause the air con to operate inefficiently?

I do close it when the wind noise exceeds the ability to hear the exhaust note and when using air con, which in the UK is not very often at all. I feel more connected to the machine when I can hear it
