Hi, Looking at 996 C4S cars - does anyone know rougly what percentage came with PSE? I've driven a car today which just sounded awsome with it. Thanks.

Sorry, not got a clue about the percentage of cars that were specced with PSE from new, but I know that you need it, 100%, don't even consider a car without it... uh: (not to upset anyone, other alternatives are available - Hayward & Scott, Oettle, various bypass mods, and can sound just as good) :thumb:

I can't anwser your original question, but PSE is the best bit of kit on my C4S without doubt. If I was having another 911, PSE would have to be fitted or the purchase price of the car negotiated so that it could be retro-fitted. I understand to retro-fit the OEM sports exhaust system to a 996 is over £3K currently...

Hi, To my knowledge it was a option so no car had it as standard. As stated it is a must!

Pretty impossible to say as some people got these systems retro-fitted (and some others still are). As mentioned above don't discount the alternatives out there (unless of course you have a Porsche warranty on yours). ~ Maxie
