Across 1 matching discussions, the most frequently mentioned possible cause is 'theres no addition notes or paperwork' (1 discussions; 0 report identifying it and 1 suggest it). No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.
Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.
These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Phone anothe OPC and speak to someone from parts. Then ask the questions you need, give them the reg and engine number. That should beall they need. Sometimes, its best to try another OPC and get to speak to one of the actual tech guys.
Sorry I can't really help but I have exactly the same problem even down to the fact it was serviced at porsche Nottingham!
I had the same phone call with them.
I have one other route to try I have a friend of a friend at a Porsche dealer nearer to home and I have been told before that all the Porsche centres should hold the info so I am going to ask him. If I have any luck I will let you know and ask for your info as well.
In the meantime if anyone has any other ideas it would be appreciated
Tony
Strange, when i bought mine I phoned 2 main dealers which I knew from the service records it was worked on. Both of them could not be more helpful. They didn't just give me the information on the car but the guys printed all the records and faxed them up to me.
maybe i just got lucky

So many organisations hide behind the Data Protection Act these days. Almost nobody understands what it encompasses & so the default is to release no information to avoid doubt.
You should write to the OPC to get them to update their records for your car putting you as the new owner. After they have acknowledged that has happened you should be able to get the servicing records, but if they're still being difficult, slap a Freedom of Information Act request on them. They must legally comply with this & can only charge you a nominal fee. That should get you the information you want
Surely the dealer can't give information on a service they have provided to another customer - if you book a hotel room you can't ask for previous occupants' details! In the same way why should any future owner of your car have access to your previous dealings with a dealership? This information is private and has nothing to do with anybody else and as such is protected information. Don't forget the service sheets contain the payer's name, address, how much they've spent and sometimes how they have paid. Would you want this dished out to anybody who happens to buy a car you once owned?
You see the buyers name and address anyway in the log book. I have tones of sheets of previous owner with address ect on. I also think the data protection act goes too far.
As ive said before, contact another porsche dealer, speak to someone from parts and servicing and you will get sorted, depending on what you ask for. Or, have a drive down, meet them in person and things change.
Its normal to have lots of paperwork, you needthis to help sell your car in the future. Its normal to have lots of paperwork with different owners name address and how much they have spent.
Thanks Tony if you get the extra info your after please do let me know, id love to update my records..
I will try to call another OPC on Monday just to see if i come up against the same brick wall..maybe theyd be more helpfull if i mention im thinking of bringing her in for the next service there ...
Asking for this kind of information should be freely available, to compare it to renting a hotel room then asking for the previous occupants details is completely off the line, I dont care how they paid, I dont even require there name and address, this is about the car, not the person, i require information on the vehicle..
ill continue to hunt
Service
I have a similar problem, I emailed AFN Guildford and asked for copies of invoices etc,I know they got it because I rec various "read" reciepts - but no one hadeven the courtesy to reply!
The DPA covers the user of details relating to personal information, not data.
In the example of the hotel booking, the DPA does not cover the number of rooms booked at a given date etc. However it would come into play if you wanted information relating to how often a "person", number etc requested a booking.
It is designed to cover any personally identifiable details.
Following this, the service history of the vehicle (not owner or his details) is part of the details. If they omit person details such as name, address and payment details, this information can be provided without worrying about the DPA.
Noting that, it doesn't necessary mean your service advisor will be co-operative. I had the same issue, faxed them a copy of the V5 to show that you are the legal owner of the vehicle and requesting only vehicle information.
This should work. I had the same issue but once I got to someone who knew what I was talking about - It was pretty easy.

When you have a service done at an OPC do they keep the recods locally or do they upload them to a central computer?
I only ask because I also had to get a new service book and I've updated 90% of it but OPC Leeds are saying they have no records because of a fire at the old showroom but I personally think they just can't be bothered because other manufacturers have been able to pull up records on my other cars despite the work being done at the other end of the country.
My car's had a couple of services done at OPC West London. Was in there getting a quotation for some work the other day while passing by - the member of staff I spoke to was so exceptionally rude that I did not bother asking about my car's service records.
I had the same problem last week.
The car was supplied in Reading, called them and all they could do was send me a blank "minor" service sheet. Not much use. The service that was carried out was for them as it was a press car. Not quite sure why the DPA stops them sending out their own details......

The subsequent service was done by OPC Cardiff. Spoke to a guy there, he ask me to email him a copy of my passport, V5 and service book. I did that, he printed off ALL the history he had (cut off the owners name and address) and posted it to me - super helpful!
