Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

15 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • 911uk: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

At long last I have the car of my dreams! the all weather everyday supercar! http://i222.photobucket.com/albums/dd272/musashi_photo/Turbo/DSC05904a.jpg Metallic Seal Grey, full Grey leather Interior, Sports Exhaust, 1 owner from new, low mileage I couldnt ask for more! So far "Cheryl" (after the very fitt cheryl cole) has had an interior carpet shampoo, full leather interior cleaned and fed, exhaust tips polised. Left to do engine clean, inside wheel clean, calipers, underneath the car cleaned or painted, machine polish for bodywork. I've made half a dozen trips to halfords buying autoglym products. I'm sure i'll have some questions for you fellow enthusiasts at some point

POST 2Original post

Congratulations... nice car... it's always a great day when you have something new join the family...

POST 3Original post

Ah, the evergreen, erm, Seal Grey. Hope you had a full PPI, you don't want to find it's been f****d and left for dead by an Ashley*. *before Sundeep speed-dials the lawyers, an "Ashley" is almost certainly a Carcoat Damphands term for "previous owner".

POST 6Original post

Welcome! Nice car mate, enjoy it. Notice you've gone for the best colour as well. Then again, I am biased

POST 7Original post

A turbo in seal grey - it just does not get better than that !! Congrats on the new beast.

POST 8 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks I wasnt so sure about the seal grey at first but after having shopped around for 9 MONTHS I came across far too many silvers and blacks. I must say the compliments I get whilst driving and on here are very reassuring! Will post some more pics up when she is showroom condition. I'm about 60% complete now! Any 996 Turbo owners in the Reading area? would like to meet up and have a chat.

POST 9Original post

Excuse me people, seal grey is not the best colour on a turbo.Polar silver however is because I,ve got one.seal grey is the second best colour though.Well done.

POST 10Original post

No, no, no, Black is da best!!! Nice car mate and welcome to the gang. Hope you enjoy it as much as I have mine. Jim :thumb:

POST 11Original post

Is there a "Club" for our Seal grey turbos?

POST 12 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

In all honesty I did fancy the Cobalt Blue and Polar Silver over the Seal Grey, but never got to see any inthe flesh only online at the time of buying mine.. but now that I have the Seal Grey it is the best  If there is a Seal Grey club i'll join!

POST 14Original post

I thought that clubbing grey seals was illegal.

POST 15 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Are there any local 996 "meets" in or near Reading at all? I was part of the Teamshock community a while ago and they met up every sunday at a retail park after closing hours. For general chit chat, comparing exhausts and sound systems etc.
