Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I regularly come to this forum to read all the posts however rarely post. I just wanted to say thanks to the people who do post the how to's etc. I opened my car as usual on Mon morning holding down the button on the key to lower the windows as it makes getting in easier in the garage. When the drivers window was approx half way down there was a bang in the door and the window stopped. I could pull the window up with my hands and push it back down to the failure point - not taking that to work then! I've just replaced the window regulator today - the cable had snapped. Thanks to the forum I was able to identify the likely failure before having to remove the door card and also the door card removal itself: http://911uk.com/viewtopic.php?t=50427&highlight=door+lining It would have taken me a long time to realise there was an allen key bolt behind the airbag badge. Cheers, Daniel :bye:
