This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Planet-9: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1Original post

Help! I can't get my center / third brake light out of my Cayman. I followed the instructions here Cayman Center (Third) Brake Light Removal - Articles and could not get it to come out. So i removed the complete cover as shown in the clunk fix here - Stopping the Hatch "Clunk" - Articles . I have taken the two mounting screws loose and then all the way out, but the brake light assembly will not budge. What am I missing? Did Porsche start gluing these in place on the newer cars? It seems be be loose on each side, but stuck in the middle on out to about 1/4 of the way in from each side. Help! Thanks

POST 3Original post

I was able to find out that the older part numbers have been replaced by a newer part number. The 2010 parts info shows just the new part while the older parts info shows it being replaced by the new number. Suggests a redesign by Porsche but I have no access to a drawing or picture of the new design to see what they changed or perhaps what has mine "Stuck" in place...

POST 4Original post

I found the parts catalogs online. Hard to tell much from the drawings, but the washer and standoff (I guess that is part 13, not identified on the parts list) are not on the older drawings. Still no clue why it does not slide right out like the older parts...

This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
