Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Thanks, I checked those out, but they are a little too aggressive for me.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Good morning! The front end of my 2001 Boxster S needs a little love. It was lowered by the previous owner and has some battle scars on the bottom. It also needs work in the middle where a tow hitch dinged it. So I'm looking at fixing up the bumper and maybe adding a front lip or splitter to add a little extra flare without doing a whole body kit...like the aero II. I've heard there's a GT3 cup splitter that fits. Would it look weird without side skirts? Does anyone have pictures of a stock bumper with that splitter? Thanks!

POST 2Original post

Search for Joe Toth composits. He made some nice body kit parts including a front lip and rear spoiler. He posted here on the forum when developing them ...maybe 5 or 6 years ago.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks, I checked those out, but they are a little too aggressive for me. I sort of like the better bodies “986 spyder boxster kit.” Especially since they are polyurethane. Does anyone have experience with those? My preference is always to do something OEM, but those kits are $$$

Anyone out there tested this one? https://protuning.com/en/138149-front-bumper-spoiler-splitter-for-porsche-986-boxster-96-04
