Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Howdy, Finally getting back into my 79 911SC project. I still have the original rubber fuel lines in the car and would like to replace them due to age. I see online there are a number of options  and I would value hearing what people have done here in Australia. Some options I am considering (to many options haha) 1. OEM from Pelican or elsewhere (which include the polyamide lines that go in the tunnel).. 2. after market kids available through member of Pelican parts (Len Cummings) 2. Remove and replace the rubber hoses (requires cutting the pressed hose ferrules off). Though I read you need special hose clamps to handle the CIS fuel pressure 3. Remove fuel lines and get new rubber professional crimped onto exist polyamide line and reinstall. Thank you in advance David

POST 2Original post

I bought a set of fuel lines from Griffiths a few years ago and have had no issues with them: https://griffiths.com/porsche/engine/ At the time, Len Cummings was running an old-school mail-order business and would only accept postal money orders as payment. Too complicated for me to get them shipped here.

POST 3Original post

I bought the set from Len Cummings. The quality was excellent and the job went very smoothly. I did have the engine out though. See here for the extra piece that makes it easier:

Thanks for the reply autojack. Looking at their website, they seem to support the later SC hoses, rather than the CIS if I understand correctly? I also need to replace the hoses from the tank/pump back to the engine bay which they don't seem to have on their site Thanks sus911. I had seen his stuff in the forums and have been impressed. Especially since it's detachable at both ends if you ever need to replace the rubber ends. I will reach out and get some updated pricing from him. Cheers
