Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Sorry if this is a silly question, but can anyone confirm whether used Taycans are currently selling for above new prices?
The cheapest Turismo on autotrader is about a year old and £100k, and (unless I'm wrong) the new price was about £15k less than that?
Used prices are strong due to long wait times for new cars. You also will rarely see a Taycan ( or other Porsche) with no options fitted. Factor 10-20% of the base price for options
Depends on age and miles.
I bought my USED one just over 4 months ago - new list was £85k (RWD,
big battery
, other spec)
It is an April 2021 car (so at the time 10 months old) 14k miles, bought from OPC, with a brand new service, paint protection)
I paid £90k (£5k over list)
Now has 21k miles, I've been told the best I could sell for is a little under list.
Edited by Wilmslowboy on Tuesday 31st May 21:34
Well spec'd cars are currently over list IMO.
12-18th wait time typically at the moment I believe. And no ramping up of production. Expect residuals to remain strong (helped by them being very good cars).
Are you looking at the white one on AT for £99,900
I know this won’t help with you over list question but I’d suggest that particular car is very low spec, no pan roof, park assist, mobile connect charger, 4+1 seating, sports sound etc
It also. appears to be a poor colour combo, white, black plastic and grey flat wheels.
Prices will start to soften…there might be big order books but Porsche UK new car deliveries are back to pre pandemic levels. With a lot of the cars coming through being Taycan’s.

I can tell you now, as somebody with a new Porsche that was due to be build complete(CP8) on March 31st, but is now projected to be CP8 today, that your observation simply isn’t true. Porsche are working on a JIT basis across all their factories due to wiring loom and other component supply issues.
Cars being built now are several months behind schedule and with the summer factory shutdown looming things will go further behind.

I know cars are behind schedule but SMMT data says Porsche deliveries to the UK are up 29% to 5354 cars in the first four months of the year. Which puts them on track for 16k cars this year which is where they were pre-pandemic. So cars are coming through.
My local OPC is currently hiring extra sales people because of the increased volume of new cars they have been told to expect….

All of which is irrelevant to the softening or otherwise of used values as it only shows one side of the equation.
Put a deposit down on a Taycan today and you'll be lucky to get it in 12mth (customer favour to one side). I put an order in on a car early Feb. Initial view was it might be here just before Christmas. Now? No view...probably Q1 next year at best.

You need to be slightly careful… SMMT report registrations, not deliveries, and there can be funny games in the channel. VW report that Porsche global deliveries were down 8% yoy in the first four months, with April the clearly weakest month. I can’t see why Porsche would prioritise the U.K., over say the US, for the cars they can produce.
So…. I am about to sell mine as I am moving overseas. I don’t want to sell it at all as it is utterly amazing and is the perfect car for my family and I, (and dogs).
It’s a 4S CT with 7k miles and about £30k in options. My dealer without seeing it, has already offered my money back. When I know my moving date I’ll press a little harder, but I am fairly sure I could ask for more and still sell it instantly.
Top spec Taycan are hot sellers and based on my (limited) experience, I don’t think this is going to change for a while yet.
I've listed mine at below list (one year old), it's about £8k cheaper than next cheapest big battery Tayacn on AT, online trade offers are £10k below list (don't take into account extras) - Let see what happens.

Yes SMMT report registrations but over say a year that number will be relatively accurate.
Link to Autocar article saying Porsche produced record numbers of cars in 2021 including for the 911 so it wasn’t all Taycan sales.
https://www.autocar.co.uk/car-news/business-financ...
Flip side would be when Porsche produced record global volumes last year why did they throttle supply to the UK so much ? Read some of the stats in that article…record year for 911 etc. Certainly wasn’t in the UK for 911 sales. Mentions UK sales being 13,702 last year but what they don’t say is that is a significant reduction but Porsche GB wouldn’t want that highlighted.
What the numbers tell us is that in 2021 with Porsche producing record numbers of cars globally UK sales were down 25% so all those stories OPC’s have told customers about Covid related supply issues and chip shortages are some way short of the truth. For whatever reason Porsche throttled supply to the UK favouring other markets and this year they appear to be delivering more cars to the UK which may well be to make up for that.
Well my OPC has practically no cars to sell. Waiting times are huge and not going to change for at least 18 month. They are pushing through Taycans which is where the majority of sales are but the lead times are still enormous, but every other model is non existent at the moment. My Touring is delayed from June build until the end of the year, as are most builds.
Just about every model including the Taycan is sitting over list to answer the original question. My 992 is 18 months old and would still sell at list.

I’m seriously considering upgrading my saloon to a Taycan CT - better looking and more practical.
My very high spec 4S CT came in last week; actually 3 weeks ahead of schedule. Of the 3 Taycan on the transporter mine was the only one not missing parts apparently, where delivery can be made to the customer. My dealer’s received a lot of cars this month, of all types. There were 2 GT3’s on the same truck as mine that they didn’t even know were coming (expecting July). Seems a bit of a lottery and a bit disorganised….. anyway looking forward to picking up after detailing and ppf.

Hi guys I'm a newbie to the EV world but iam looking at the above for a family and fun car.
I noticed it had the smaller battery is this something to steer clear of ? For resale?
Our needs are not for long journeys, more town and kids run stuff.
What works option wise for the yaycan saloon ideally budget of 100k.

The difference between a small and large battery is about 40 miles extra of range and about £5k of cost.
The white one has a lot of toys but from a practical point of view a bigger battery and 4+1 seating would have been more useful than something like a second screen in front of the passenger.

I've been looking at 992/Taycan nearly new and my bugbear is options. I always order cars with minimal options and I have no desire to pay extra for someone deciding to stick stuff on a car I don't want. I can buy a new car cheaper than they loaded secondhand car prices. The kicker at the moment is new car leadtimes, so I am delaying anything until this reaches sanity, whether this takes a year or two.

Some extras are a must for resale....and you get most of your money back...such as pan roof, parking cameras, decent wheels. I agree embossed headrests, coloured seat belts, and in the case of a Taycan, passenger screen and rear red light bar seem a bit pointless.
We sold both of our Taycan's back to the supplying dealer. They were both £110,000 list give or take a few pennies.
4S saloon 2,600 miles 6 months old - £105,000 - Listed at £115,000 by the OPC and sold the same day
4S CT (PTS) 400 miles 4 months old - £117,500 - Listed at £130,000 by the OPC and sold in a couple of weeks.
They went as a pair in May this year so the data is current.

Therefore technically you cannot buy a car spec'd as you want unless you wait 12-18mths.
Cars have come up spec'd more or less as I would want recently, but at 10k-20k overs. Which I'm not prepared to pay... So same same

Although there are some Porsche's being used as sub marines that were meant to be in the US
I am current reviewing my options and whilst I have specced a Taycan Sport Turismo I didn't want to spec £3960 worth of 40 miles battery!
The dealer is pushing for me to spec this along with crested head restraints and a few other "essential options" as they will severely restrict the sale of the car in 4 years time.
For me the essential options are
Crayon Paint
20" Aero Wheels
Pano Sunroof
Folding Mirrors
Privacy Glass
Surround Parking Assist
Heated Steering Wheel
4+1 Seats
150KW Charger
Air Suspension
I don't even need Bose or Enhanced battery as for the next 4 years I will still have other ICE cars to drive too.. The list price for this lot IRO £83k with a £15k down I pay £820 a month with a £44k balloon. Interest rates are really silly if I'm honest.. Looking at delivery End Q1-Q2 next year!
No way would I pay over list for anything in stock now however..
If funding through a number of finance providers including in-house PFS/VWFS, just bear in mind that the bigger battery is the only option that has a big impact on the GFV for the finance calculation.
So unlike all the other options you mention, the monthly increase will be less (compared to say if you added £4000 of seats or wheels).

I've just got a build slot for my RWD Sport Turismo (end Sept / early Oct).
I have gone for the bigger battery, it significantly increases the GFV so you only end up paying about £1.8k for it. At that price it feels like a no brainer.
Used values for high end EV cars will remain until the Government ditches the 1 % benefit in kind for a company vehicle?

Don’t know if it is still the case but when Taycan was first launched the bigger battery meant you could charge faster at the likes of Ionity chargers.
