I had a squeaking sound from my suspension when I installed my springs and it was due to the drop links to the sway bar weren't tightened all the way.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1Original post

Hey guys, Wondering if anyone else that has installed Bilstein PSS9s have had any squeaking issues coming from the suspension. To be more specific, it's low-level, high frequency "squeak" eminating primarily from the front passenger side. I noticed the squeak last week and could replicate it by simply putting weight on the front bumper support and bouncing the front end up and down. Any suggestions? Moly grease on the bushings? Thanks, Jon

POST 2Original post

I think you may be on the right track regarding the bushings. Grease may be a temporary or permanent cure; otherwise, non-rubber bushings may be the solution.

POST 3Original post

After taking apart the front passenger fender liner with my brother-in-law, we found out that the squeaking was coming from the front passenger side radiator support, which was missing a locking nut. Went to the local auto store, secured the nut and support, and lo and behold, no more squeaking sound....from the front. Now, I just have to figure out how to keep the back end from thumping and squeaking. Jon

POST 4Original post

I had a squeaking sound from my suspension when I installed my springs and it was due to the drop links to the sway bar weren't tightened all the way. Back end thump might be the "trunk thump" issue that comes from the rear hatch. Do a search on that and look in the articles section. That may help
