Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

13 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1Original post

Ok I placed an order for an oil filter online and the part number in 99610722560 and I called the dealor and they gave me a part number 99610722553 so which one should I use????

POST 2Original post

I ordered mine from Suncoast and it was 99610722560 .

POST 3Original post

I purchased an oil filter from Rusnak Porsche for my DIY oil change which I performed last November. My sales receipt invoice shows the filter they sold me had a part#996-107-225-53.

POST 4Original post

So what is the different between these 2 part numbers and should I use the one from Suncoast ????????????

POST 5Original post

I don't know what the difference is. All I can tell you is that the new filter Rusnak sold to me looks identical to the factory original filter that I replaced.

POST 6Original post

**** We need a Porsche parts guy on this question. I think the last 2 numbers may be a supplier / manufactuer's code. Just a guess.

POST 7Original post

I just checked the 07 parts catalogue. I found 9610722553 as oil filter but could not find 99610722560. Hmmmm. This is a Suncoast question...

POST 8Original post

OK. Just sent an email with the question... waiting...

POST 9Original post

Following reply came back from Suncoast : "There is about a 1 mm difference in height between the two versions, but they are 100% interchangeable. For a while, the "53" was unavailable from Porsche , and the "60" was used as a direct replacement. They are now both available, and we carry both versions in stock. Let me know if you have any other questions, thanks again! If there is anything else I can help you with, don't hesitate to ask. Thanks again!".
