Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

2 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1Original post

My wife noticed while following me the other night that the right (rear passenger side) light was not lighting when I braked. I replaced both bulbs with an identical bulb (4W Sylvania 7225LL). No change. It lights properly when the headlights are on, just won't brighten when applying the brakes. The left brake light works fine, so I assume the fuse is not the issue. Any ideas?

POST 2Original post

Well, it wasn't the brake light after all. It wasn't actually a problem. The rear outermost taillights have two filaments. Only the left one is lit when the fog lamps are turned on. Palm to Forehead! -Doug
