Edit:took my car to a CAR/STEREO place and of course they F**cked some things up. I happen to be close by NAV-TV and they are great people. I wish there where more people like them doing car installs that actually knows what there doing.
Anyway my Avic8000nex is installed but I'm getting really bad popping in the speakers I can't even turn it up that loud anyone have this issue?
Hey guys I'm new to the forum so for starters hello and thank you for having me. I purchased a 2005 Porsche Boxster with Bose System and have owned it for about 2 months. I purchased a Pioneer Avic8000NEX and Pioneer backup camera. After much reading on here I think to much reading I ended up with 4 installs that I created into a PDF one being the famous AVIC D3 installation which I have to say is super detailed thank you poster. Well I ended up purchasing a Avic D3 installation kit off ebay for 150.......... Well after sitting in my care an trying to put things together it clicked I don't have an AVID D3 I have a AVIC8000 sorry for the stupidity guys it seems I just got over my head. I also purchased the NAV-TV HUR 997 after how easy everyone is saying it is to hook up. Well I'm stuck on the first step which is the optical cable.....I do think there is something missing from my 997 box that allows me to connect the cable but thats just me. So to some this up I need some help, the reason I didn't take it to anywhere in Boca Raton FL is I'm new here don't know anyone, Ive heard horror stories on this forum so here what I need guys
1. I think i can still use the Avic D3 kit but need to scrap the adapter. ( can I purchase CAN HI & CAN LOW adapters separate) those where not included
2. Can anyone point me in the right direction of hooking up the NAV unit as there is no picture tutorial its just verbiage.
Thank you in advance to anyone that can help.
Not sure who you use for a mechanic, but you might check with them as you probably aren't the first to try and put those items on your car. Being in SFL myself, you might want to try TuneRS Motorsports in Pompano. They did some work for me on my 987-very knowledgeable and work was done on time as promised. Good Luck!
Try this thread if you havent read it.

I have done the install myself and can try to help but I'm not sure what optical cable you are talking is. Do you mean the orange optical connector into the bus system? Or an optical audio out from your headunit.
If anything i would try giving Loi from euromotorspeed a call/email. Hes incredibly helpful and knows a lot about the bus adapters.
