I believe the GPS antenna and a couple other things are missing in non NAV'd cars from the factory, lest what I've seen from people who replaced cdr-30's with PCM.

I have a PCM 3.0 unit that was recovered from my wrecked 2009 Cayman. I am in the market for another '09 or '10 and wonder if neither have a 3.0 PCM unit if I can install the "old one" in it? Any help would be appreciated. Bob Shrewsberry rshrews@ cox.net

Unless the car has nav already I think you're out of luck and would only have a working radio, no nav. I believe the GPS antenna and a couple other things are missing in non NAV'd cars from the factory, lest what I've seen from people who replaced cdr-30's with PCM. Also won't be able to get a bunch of the PCM 'recorder' options to work.

For a 981/ 987 you will need 'Sound System Plus' in the car if you want to retrofit PCM nav. See http://www.suncoastparts.com/product/PCM3NAV.html?Category_Code=987G2S_elec
