Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Got a great fitted price + a wheel alignment for £420 and chose a fitting centre fairly near.

Thought it was the ŵheel refurb people calling to arrange to look at the wheels (perhaps you refurbers have the same ring!)

On showing me, I have the rim scraped clean of paint for 1/3 of the wheel and various other bits of paint damage to both wheels!

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

So, needed 2 rear boots, searched the web to find what I was after, the new Bridgestone Potenza S001's and after struggling to find anywhere came across them at tyreshopper.co.uk.
Got a great fitted price + a wheel alignment for £420 and chose a fitting centre fairly near. Phoned yesterday AM to check if the tyres had arrived at the fitters, to find only 1 had arrived! Got onto tyreshopper.co.uk to be told that sorry they had been let down and they did not have any more stock of the tyres! They suggested some Continental Contact Sport 3 for the same price and whilst annoyed, I really haven't the time to be mucking around so agreed. Turned up to have them fitted, went for a coffee, came back to be told the alignment can't be done as the car is too low for the ramps (fair enough-not sure if it was such a clever idea getting them to do it anyway!) but not only that, they had a little accident and some paint had come off my newly re-furbished alloys. On showing me, I have the rim scraped clean of paint for 1/3 of the wheel and various other bits of paint damage to both wheels! Waiting now to hear what they will do to sort it out! ARGHHHH!
yep, i always have too but they couldn't get the tyres i wanted, so very regretfully trusted that National Tyres might be able to take 2 tyres off some alloys, obviously not! You live and learn!
Design 911 did the same damage to one of my rims and said it would cost me around £80 to repair as they had been poorly refurbed in the first place...now lost my custom!! Funny how Kwik-Fit managed to fit my two rears with no problem! :nooo:
Hi
I would not even consider letting any tyre business near the alignment on a 911. Ever.
There is no excuse for f'ing the wheels up. Time for them to use thier
insurance
and have them rectified by the pople who did it last time. Otherwise get them done and small claims them. You have to give them a chance to rectify first though.

THAT'S HIM! THATS HIM! Lol
They phoned me today to say they want my car or my wheels for 2 days for their regular guy to sort them out, no way am I leaving my car there and also no way am I taking the effort to take my wheels in the back of the gf's mini for them to sort it out. I'm waiting for their wheel restorer to call me to discuss things but it may mean they go back to Lepsons with Chris W for a second refurb this year!
Hi Steve
I tried to call you today when I read this....what a nightmare! Sorry to hear this.
Get in touch and I'll sort you out, get them fixed and the tyres fitted, you dont want them messing with your split rim rims in case they do more damage than good. I'll sort you a quote out if you like.
N.B. I'm off on hols tmrw for a week though
I got the call when i was with a client up a ladder measuring for her curtains so couldn't answer I'm afraid! Thought it was the ŵheel refurb people calling to arrange to look at the wheels (perhaps you refurbers have the same ring!)
Yes please Chris, I'm devastated, if you could let me know the costs, it's just the two rims, the spokes are fine but the rims have paint and metal damage so need resurfacing a bit. I'm not keen on letting some idiot loose on these and the colour needs to match the front wheels.
