Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

8 inch fronts and 11 inch rears - I assume these DON'T fit the early/narrow 996 cars? Just fit the Turbo and the C4S? Thanks!

POST 3Original post

Yep - got a set on my 996 C4S. They have stainless steel schrader valve stems as opposed to the flexible rubber ones fitted to the solid spokes.

POST 4Original post

I hope I'm not going to upset you Nick, but they are brass - nickel plated I believe. When I drilled and tapped out the back of the valves for the TPM sensors I was surprised, as I was expecting stainless steel too. Made the job easier though.

POST 5Original post

I've never had the valve stems to pieces! I'm sure tapping a thread into brass would be a tad easier than stainless steel. Someone told me they were stainless - ah well, live and learn. I'd better say metal as opposed to rubber valve stems for simplicity in the future :thumb: They're certainly a fair bit lighter than my stock 18" alloys.
