My c5 z06 at similar weight to a Cayman with almost twice the power stops great without fade, lots of excellent drivers only swap pads and run same setup with 600 hp on 325 x 32 and 305 x 25 with only two piston calipers and rubber lines.

Hey all- I could have sworn I read a thread about a fellow that wanted to put 997? GT3 brakes on his base Cayman. He discovered that the wheel carrier was different and then found a set of 996 turbo or 997 Carrera 2 brakes which were identical to the GT3 six piston setup but had the same wheel carrier as the cayman so would bolt right on. He did not mention if he had to change any uprights. Then he discovered that the Cayman S fronts were identical to this same car in the rear so he installed a set of those on the rear. I can't remember what he did with the rotors. Pretty sure he used a 997? GT3 master cylinder and he had no problems using the factory Cayman 987 proportioning valve/abs module. Has anyone considered using the cayenne big rotors?
