Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I too have just replaced my discs but I have to say that the rust was more attributable to the fact that, when I first bought the car, I used to meticulously wash it - and then just put the cover over it again!

As for parking mine is sadly parked on the street (London) its a crime but it is used daily that would be the only concern in your position.

In addition, because we are downsizing (kids gone!), moving from a Victorian house with storage everywhere, unfortunatley the garge of the new house is going to have to be used for storage for a while.
These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Im in the process of moving house and whereas currently I have a double garage, the house Im purchasing only has a single and there is no way of extending. In addition, because we are downsizing (kids gone!), moving from a Victorian house with storage everywhere, unfortunatley the garge of the new house is going to have to be used for storage for a while.
I don't use my car regularly, and only last year I had to replace disks/pads as I parked it up wet and left it a week or so! So, although I have an outdoor cover and it will be secure behind a large wall, solid gates, would it be worth leaving it to the elements, or is it time to sell?
I certainly don't want to sell it.....did that before when I bought a boat and regretted everyday until a bought another one! Its probably me just being a bit rear ended when it comes to pampering my car, I just like the thought of it being in a nice warm garage!
Mine spent every day of it's life in a garage - until I bought it. I now drive it every day, and it only goes in the garage when I have a holiday (if I do a quick tidy up first!)
I have no problems with this, but it is a nice area. I can think of places where you just wouldn't leave it outside !
how could you dream of selling???
As for parking mine is sadly parked on the street (London) its a crime but it is used daily that would be the only concern in your position. a good cover should be every bit as good you just have to make sure it is spotless when it goes in!
:whiteflag: Ok it stays....I know it makes sense. My missus keeps reminding me I did it before and she couldn't stand the constant grumbling everytime we went on a journey....SWMBO will be obeyed!
Yeah I know, that alongside a marine fish tank as another bottomless pit hobby, I can't really complain, although she does have a fine selection of shoes courtesy of me!!! :duh:
I keep my turbo out all weathers under a car cover and plugged into a trickle charger.Have no issues other than noisy brakes for the first couple of miles.
Driveway..?! With a cover...??!! That would 'ave been a palace to us!! The best I could manage was to park mine on some old waste ground, three miles from t'house, whilst I was shiverin' cold t' bone in t'tent by side of car!! Driveway...?; Luxury!!!
:floor:
 I've 'nursed' mine under a good cover on my gated driveway for over five years now. I too have just replaced my discs but I have to say that the rust was more attributable to the fact that, when I first bought the car, I used to meticulously wash it - and then just put the cover over it again!
c:
I only learnt about the quality of the milk bottle tops that Porsche refer to as brake discs after the damage had been done! :hand:
My cover almost reaches the ground all 'round the car so no water can splash up on to the discs. I just keep an eye on them (
especially the inner surfaces!!!
) and take that car for a blast if I think that things are getting a bit brown.
I'm sure you be fine!
Actually thinking about it thats what happened to my disk.....washing and putting away!
Anyway, thanks for all your reassurances, I think I'll treat myself to a nice fitting outdoor cover. My last outdoor one was from Cover Craft which I remember was very good, any other suggestions?
I've got an outdoor heavy duty one of these:

..and one of their breathable ones too (which you can wash in a washing machine!
