Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.
0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.

I too was thinking about the ROW30 suspension, however I didn't know that there is a different kit for the Targa, I just assumed it was the same setup for all 996 narrow bodies.
Leading evidence: 'same setup' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, the most frequently mentioned possible cause is 'same setup' (1 discussions; 0 report identifying it and 1 suggest it). The most frequently discussed action is 'Check with gert at <a href="http://www.carnewal.com" target="_blank">www.carnewal.com</a>' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Want to take my 2000 C2 cab in for lowering and spacers. Maybe side skirts (flared rocker panels) too.
I am not a track guy and never will be but I live in the middle east where 150 mph cruises to Dubai are a weekly event. I really want an aggressive look.
What do you guys suggest as the most cost effective lowering kit and maximum spacing , I should go?
I do not want to change my tires yet...maybe 6 months..
Thanks in advance
I wouldn't mess up a cab with any of that....if work w/the suspension & get it down where you want, space out the wheels (ideally dif wheels w/dif offset), and perhaps add a rear wing, maybe 02 rear bumper.....you'd be surprised how low, squatty, (yet proportional) that body will look.....just my opinion.
You can always go with lowering springs and adding spacers but that's not always the cost effective way in the long run. You can save up for a ROW M030 package and take things step-by-step to really benefit from your mods. You can start with the flared rockers first then save up some more and get something like a GT-3 bumper. There are alot of stuff out there for your car but you have to choose what's importent to you first and do it in a way that won't effect the balance of the car
I am not a wing fan...will probably go factory sideskirts..the Dubai Porsche Modification guru suggests just springs not the whole ROW kit...no sway bars etc. Saving up is not as much an issue as doing what will give me the look I am after...
PS How is Bahrain...still too hot here for the top down...
I want to lower my car as well and I've always thought that I will get the M030 kit just to get a better handling Porsche. After asking for the price, I found out that the targa's ROW 030 package costs exactly double the price of the Carerra and Cab prices
so I might as well order the springs at first and then order everything else
Bahrain is too hot so don't feel left out
02 Targa, I can't believe that the 030 kit costs double for the Targa. Did you, by chance, check with Gert at <a href="http://www.carnewal.com" target="_blank">www.carnewal.com</a> ? Second opinion might be worthwhile.
The dealer seems to be sure since he emailed Porsche AG twice to confirm it
We also have a problem with back-ordered parts, I'm yet to recieve my sport exhuast which I ordered 3 weeks ago
Don, I'm still torn between doing the turbo nose or ordering the Techart add-on spoiler LOL So many choises so little time
Go for the turbo nose...you won't regret it.
The turbo nose looks AWESOME on the Targa...Turbo looks with the open roof...life is good.
Check out my site if you need some help with the choice...<a href="http://hobbystage.net/porsche/drguumba" target="_blank">2002 Targa Turbo Look</a>
I am ordering the Sports Exhaust on Monday. I only hear good things about it.
I too was thinking about the ROW30 suspension, however I didn't know that there is a different kit for the Targa, I just assumed it was the same setup for all 996 narrow bodies.
Regards,
Dan
I am going dealer all the way...decided on the Porsche sports suspension and the dealer is also putting on the spacers...5mm front and 17 mm rear...I have 265 P zero's.
Not many options here...just the dealer or one shop in Dubai...The dealer shop foreman seems very knowledgeable and has the proper very German accent and name....
Shouls go on next week I wiil post some before and after shots....
Next its side skirts and ??? sports exhaust???

I have to admit that the turbo nose looks great on the targa. So I guess it's turbo nose first, ROW 030 suspenion later when Porsche makes it a package like the rest of the 996 line. targaman, the 996 targa's dampers are a bit diffrent then the rest of the line because of the weight. That's what I heard so it's a bit diffrent as far as shock valving is concerned. The springs should be the same though so crossing my fingers on that one
The exhaust should be here by next week hopefully and I'm leaning towrds installing it without the switch so it should be somewhat loud all the time <img src="graemlins/burnout.gif" border="0" alt="[burnout]" />
After the turbo nose I guess I have to install the flared rocker panels so if anyone else got anything to suggest then let me hear about it
