Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

22 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

Holy thread resurrection batman. That looks entirely wrong.

POST 15Original post

Watched Harrys Garage yesterday re his 930 turbo s. Fabulous car and what a spectacular find. 934 heads, 3.4 litre and approaching 400bhp and 360ft lbs of torque from people that have forgotten more about these cars than most of us will know and in a lw 1275kgs package. Fanbloodytastic. I saw the new turbo s a few days ago. Left me completely cold in the flesh and I had a good close look at fit and finish etc. VW ownership has killed Porsche.

Fanbloodytastic. I saw the new turbo s a few days ago. Left me completely cold in the flesh and I had a good close look at fit and finish etc. VW ownership has killed Porsche. I saw the car being worked on at Jaz a few weeks ago. I recognised it immediately. Seems it had more than 400hp as Harry had been unknowingly been running it with various vacuum/wastegate control pipes disconnected ... so it effectively had no boost control It's a lovely looking thing, and the Ruf wheels fill the arches much more convincingly than the stock Fuchs. Link for those that haven't watched Harry's original Spanish video : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4anhPIyQncc

That car is fookinmad Well done Harry more character than anything else in his wonderful garage. Watching him chitty chitty bang bang on the motorway I had moments like that myself a few times pretty terrifying actually. All part of the fun Always carry a spare relay Harry! School boy error!!

POST 21Original post

Saw the vid on Harry's car,, very nice - he keeps referring to it as a ''Sonderwunsch'' car which were earlier. I believe that all became Porsche Exclusive around late 86,, and whilst this maybe neither here nor there,, facts are it was much more organised and cars/records/option codes were documented. This being an 89 car (right at the end of 930 production), it would have had all its options listed from new, a bit like an LE variant. There was no official Porsche 930 Turbo S model (1st official one was the 964/5 version),, although they certainly launched an extensive performance pack under the ''Sonderwunsch'' programme in 84. Many of those enhancements found their way into the UK run-out model in 89 known as the LE, although the earlier (Sonderwunsch) cars had also a different cam profile and were even punchier. Any 930 with these enhancements are certainly worthy of the Turbo S name and this engine was known as the ''S'' engine etc, but it never became an official name within Porsche on the 930. Harry's car certainly looks to have the factory performance package,, (like he says the 3.4 heads etc probably done elsewhere), although it sounds like it may have been done after production of the car possible by someone who had connections at the factory,,i can't think of any other reason why it wouldn't be fully documented in 1989. Its also possible the parts were sent out the States, and the car was done there., again if the said person had the right connections!

Those Ruf wheels fill the wheel arches so nicely. Incredible looking 911. Arnold Schwarzenegger in his youth muscular looks. Car looks like it wants a race!
