This is not a probability of success.

The head unit seems to operate ok - the balance L/R function works fine and I've checked the connections into the amp which all seem secure.

For some reason there is no sound coming out of the rear speakers (the speakers are there I've taken one out to check!).

I've checked the fader settings and when I set it to fully fade to the rear all I get is the bass out of the front door pocket speakers but nothing out of the rears at all.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi I wonder if anyone knows the likely cause of this issue? The car is a C4S 2002 (52) Coupe. It has the CDR23 head unit along with the Becker BE6600 amp (996.645.331.01). For some reason there is no sound coming out of the rear speakers (the speakers are there I've taken one out to check!). I've checked the fader settings and when I set it to fully fade to the rear all I get is the bass out of the front door pocket speakers but nothing out of the rears at all. I believe mine is a non MOST system. The head unit seems to operate ok - the balance L/R function works fine and I've checked the connections into the amp which all seem secure. I've searched this site and cant find anything specific. Any ideas as to the likely cause from anyone would be much appreciated! (and I hope you're not going to say new amp because they're £££'s!) Thanks in advance

POST 2Original post

Thats a MOST unit - and it smost likely the amp: http://forums.pelicanparts.com/boxs...6-no-sound-rear-speakers-any-suggestions.html Try Douglas Valley, or just can the whole lot and install a 'normal' amp instead.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Ah right thank you, I was assuming because it wasnt fibre optic is wasnt MOST - school boy error! I feared it might be the blooming amp. I'll have to do a bit more research to see what's the most economical solution.

POST 4Original post

Might be worth speaking to one of these guys and taking the amp to them (if your profile is accurate about location!): http://www.classicvalveamps.co.uk/amp-repair-prices https://electronicservices-derby.co.uk/
