Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Suggestion

I think an m96 was purposefully used to test his new engine sleeve tech (you can find it for sale on the bisimoto website).

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

9 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Interesting that they dropped a M96 into an older 911. Who said the M96 can't make huge power. Stance Works - Bisimoto's 800whp Watercooled Porsche 930

POST 3Original post

Neat... Though to me it seems the more 'natural' solution would have been to transplant a 996/7 TT Mezger motor in as refreshed powerplant (in a 930 especially) as opposed to twin turbocharging a M96.

POST 4Original post

From the article: Every engine has so many horses inside. You just have to ask yourself "how soon do you want them?". I have to agree that if you had a point to prove I would start with the Metzger TT

POST 5Original post

I think an m96 was purposefully used to test his new engine sleeve tech (you can find it for sale on the bisimoto website). I would be interested to see how they fit it in an air cooled 911. again, if you go to the website there is a bit of dancing around why they don't show any engine shots.

POST 6Original post

"The first order of business was addressing the D-chunking issues that plagued the cylinders of the m96 engine variants" A plague? Sounds more like a ploy to sell some aftermarket sleeves...

POST 7Original post

Sweet looking 911. How is it that the 911 can pull off the whale tail so beautifully and any other car would look silly with one?

Looks beautiful from the front. The turbo setup makes words like 'inelegant and hack' come to my mind though. Eye of the beholder I guess.

POST 9Original post

Yeah the rear would look better if they had concealed the turbos and filters in some fashion.
