Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

1 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

Mine was only boosting at .5 when I checked it, back to normal now

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi My nearside actuator rod has snapped and the off-side turbo is leaking. My boost level has decreased from 9 to 7 (X50), I presume this is due to the actuator rod being broken and/or turbo leak. Any advice? I was also wondering whether I should keep driving it? could it lead to other problems? All advice greatly appreciated.

POST 2Original post

Hi, I just had my near side rod snap. I wired it to the broken end as temporary fix. Best price for new was from 9E. However Tony at Dove House Cars has a fix where rod is replaced with extension piece(exactly as fitted to my Jag daily driver !). Part fitted and set up for £110 +VAT. If your near to them fix looks good. I did drive mine with broken rod but tried to keep from boosting too much Hope it's just the rod and not turbo leak. Not sure how long mine had been gone as not used much only discovered when car did not feel as fast as it used to. Mine was only boosting at .5 when I checked it, back to normal now
