Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1Original post

When the driver's side window goes down, either from opening the window or when the window cracks when opening the door, there is a squeeking sound that the window makes when it goes back up. I tried cleaning the window and the plastic seal around the door, but the noise only seems to have worsened. Any ideas on how to fix it? It's definately coming from the window rubbing the seal.

POST 2Original post

I had a squeaky window like that too. I tried your solution (cleaning) and it worked for me. There's probably some sort of silicone spray you could use, but I don't know which.

POST 3Original post

From a recent thread on this topic, check out the following posts: http://www.planet-9.com/cayman-boxster-complaints/8705-frozen-windows-2.html#post415892 http://www.planet-9.com/cayman-boxster-complaints/8705-frozen-windows-2.html#post422340 I recently ordered some Gummi Pflege (gotta love that name) myself, but haven't tried it out yet.

POST 4Original post

I encountered the same problem. It was due to very tiny bits of tree sap that had sprinkled onto the car, and the window, by a pesky tree.

POST 5Original post

I had sort of the same problem. The rubber guide that the window goes into got twisted somehow, so the window was rubbing on the rubber instead of the inside surface. Obviously the window could not go all the way down and that resulted to a burnt wondow-motor (318 euro) and a replacement seal for the whole door (150 euro). Ouch...
