If i turn on my daytime running lights or fog lights, my driver side tail light turns on like as if I pushed the brake and doesn't go off? Anyone can help?
By any chance are you pulling up two clicks instead of one when turning on fog lights? The 987 has a rear fog light on the drivers side activated by the second click. If it's on without the fog lights I'd guess the switch is messed up.
Yes it's on the second click that it does it, what is this or should I do?
It's a rear fog light. Turn it on with really dense fog, snow etc when you're having trouble seeing taillights in front of you. Makes you easier to see for the guys behind. I wouldn't use it for lighter fog etc as it's bright enough to be rather annoying. Just pull out to the first click for regular fog lights. Probably depends a lot on where you live. I've only had a few occasions in all my years of driving where having a brighter tail light really seemed like a great idea as you really didn't see a car in front of you until you were on it.
Don't know for sure but it seems to be a European thing. Haven't seen it on other cars. There must have been a change in US law as the older cars didn't have them though the spot for the bulb was there.
Graywolf's explanation is correct. There is a rear fog light, just on one side, that comes on intentionally with the second pull/click of the light switch. It is on purpose so there's nothing you can do except don't pull the switch to the second position. I haven't read it in a long time, but I'm sure it's explained in your owner's manual.
on my
987.2
the rear fog doesn't come on with the daytime running lights. only on 1st click. there is no 2nd click on mine.
Thats because the
987.1
didn't have daytime running lights in the US. They had "fog" lights which were turned on with the first pull/click of the light switch.
Thanks guys I thought I had an electronicall problem.
